One of the most fascinating plants in the world, the Venus Flytrap (Dionaea muscipula) is a carnivorous plant. It's famous for its jaw like leaves that form traps. Each trap is lined with tiny trigger hairs which, when stimulated by an unsuspecting insect, cause the trap to snap shut.

Perfect for A very sunny windowsill or a terrarium.
Water required Use distilled water, reverse osmosis water, or rainwater. Tap water will harm the plant. Keep the soil consistently moist, never letting it dry out
Light required Bright indirect or full, direct sunlight. 
Humidity Thrives in high humidity.
Toxicity Non toxic to children and pets.
Origin Subtropical wetlands of the USA (North & South Carolina).
Grows to A compact size, typically 5-6 inches in diameter.
