The Anemone coronaria 'Harmony' series is a compact, tuberous perennial recognised for its large, striking, poppy-like flowers and finely cut, fern-like basal foliage. Each bloom features delicate, papery petals surrounding a prominent, dark central disk. It provides strong early-season color and architectural detail to the front of borders, rockeries, and outdoor containers.

Care Guide:

Perfect for Patio pots, rockeries, and the front of sunny borders
Light required Full sun to partial shade. A sheltered position helps protect the delicate, papery petals from strong winds.
Water Keep the soil consistently moist but highly well-drained during active growth. The tubers are very susceptible to rotting in cold, waterlogged soil during winter.
Hardiness Moderately hardy (H4). It can survive UK winters if planted in very free-draining soil, though container-grown plants benefit from being moved out of heavy winter rain.
Pollinators The wide, open flowers are highly accessible and attractive to early-season bees and other pollinating insects.
Toxicity Toxic to humans and pets if ingested. The sap may also cause mild skin irritation upon contact.
Flowering period Blooms consistently from mid-spring through to early summer. Regular deadheading will encourage further buds to develop.
Growth rate Moderate, maintaining a compact, low-growing habit that typically reaches a height and spread of 25-30cm.
Pot size tip Currently in a 11cm pot
